Dr. Christy Trafananko

Dr. Christy Trafananko - "Dr T" was born and raised in a small town in Saskatchewan. She always felt called to “mountain living”. She completed medical school at the University of Saskatchewan, and then entered a rural family medicine residency in southern Manitoba. She developed a love and passion for women’s health and obstetrics which prompted her to complete extra training in Winnipeg to broaden her skills in obstetrics and perform caesarean sections. She began her medical practice near her hometown, but the call to mountains was strong. She then started working in Golden in November of 2020 as a locum – and absolutely fell in love with this community and she is now happy to call Golden her home. She loves to travel the world and connect with family and friends over a fancy dinner and glass of wine.
